Starting at 10:00 am, there will be 11 dog contests in fun categories such as:
"Best Trick" (new!)
 “Best Kisser”
“Most Handsome”
“Most Glamorous”
“Best Tail Wagger"
“ Best Retriever”
“Most Vocal”
“Best Costume”
 Ribbons will be awarded to all participants.

Kid's Activities!

There will be many kids’ activities, including:
Moonbounces, obstacle courses, laser tag, pony rides, face painting, kids food court,
"Jasper" our mascot to entertain the kids
and more...!

Food Court!

The Food Court will sell hot dogs, chili dogs, veggie burgers, nachos and cheese, fried dough, baked goods, hand popped kettle corn, old fashioned fresh squeezed lemonade, ice cream and Italian ices.

Pet Adoptions!

If you are looking to add a furry addition to your household, local area rescue groups will be on site, offering the opportunity to adopt animal companions.

Welcome to the Annual Dog Days of Oxford
Community Day & Home Show Web Site

Started in 1999, the Annual Dog Days of Oxford Community Day and Home Show is held every year on the 2nd Saturday of September and attracts thousands of visitors from the tri-state area. This is an event for dog lovers as well as those who want to enjoy a family oriented event.

The 11th Annual Dog Days of Oxford Community Day will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on the grounds at Center School in Oxford!

The Gate will open at 9:00 am and the Food Court will offer, egg and bacon sandwiches, muffins, donuts, coffee and tea.

Dog Contests!

Vendors!


Over 100 vendors will be on site selling jewelry, home-made soaps, pet supplies, hand bags, T-shirts, paintings, flowers, kitchen supplies, gourmet food products, books, wood furniture and much more. Many of our vendors will offer raffles, prizes, discount coupons and freebies.

The Green Path


Once again this year, Dog Days of Oxford will host "The Green Path", featuring a series of educational booths, vendors and displays focusing on how to lead an eco-friendly life style and ways to opt for environmentally friendly alternatives.

Home Show!


Back by popular demand is the "HOME SHOW" section of the event. Local area businesses offering landscaping, masonry, wood & pellet stoves, hot tubs, insurance, banking, real estate, financial planning, home improvements and more will be marketing their products and services.

Demonstrations!


Also on site will be groomers, kennels and obedience trainers. There will be dance, cheerleading and karate demonstrations.  There will also be expositions in obedience and search and rescue throughout the day.


Food Court!


The Food Court will sell hot dogs, chili dogs, veggie burgers, nachos and cheese, fried dough, baked goods, hand popped kettle corn, old fashioned fresh squeezed lemonade, ice cream and Italian ices.

Entertainment!


A DJ will play throughout the day and take requests of your favorite songs.

Raffles!


A themed basket raffle will be held.

Kids Activity and Amusement Center!


There is also an expanded Kids Activity & Amusement Center which includes laser tag, large moon bounces, obstacle course, waterslide, sand art, face painting, pony rides, lots of games and a kids-oriented food court. Jasper, our Dog Days mascot, will be on hand to entertain the kids.

Adoptions!

If you are looking to add a furry addition to your household, local area rescue groups will be on site, offering the opportunity to adopt animal companions.

General Information:

The donation for this event-filled day will be $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children ages 3-12. Children under 3 are free. All proceeds benefit the Oxford Animal Shelter and local homeless cats and dogs.

Businesses interested in participating as a vendor or advertising in our program book are asked to fill out the application.

Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and can be mailed to the above address. Donations of dog and cat food can be dropped off at the Oxford Library on Rt. 67.
